Speaking of Strategies
Hocus Pocus' and my strategy for keeping him warm in the cold weather has been to let his coat grow out until he looks like a marshmallow. Now that the weather has become seasonable he will get a haircut this weekend.
what a cute dog!!! reminds me of my Baylee-you can see pics of him on my blog.... what kind of dog is Hocus Pocus? I have a cute felted dog sweater pattern that I'd be glad to share with you if you'd like. It would look so cute on him! Hope you're staying warm!
Pocus is a Bichon Frise. He looks a lot like your cute dog. Pocus has to grow his own sweater in the winter as I have too many dogs to bother with dressing them up before taking them outside in the winter ;)
I had a wonderful Bichon named "Tipper" and sadly had to let her go to another lover of Bichon's for personal reasons. I miss her daily and love looking at pics of your sweeties Pocus!!
I wish that I could get my dog to grow her own sweater. I am getting ready to knit her one because she is a Jack Russell and has very little hair and shivers all the time.

His sweater is awfully precious, though! Marshmallow, indeed.
