Saturday

Not much new to show off. I've done a bit more on the Queen Kahuna 2 socks on 2 circs and the Monkey sock. I'm not sure how I feel about doing two socks at once. It seems kind of unwieldy to have the extra yarn ball to keep untangled compared to the relative portability of doing one sock at a time. However, I definitely get Second Sock Syndrome so this might help that problem. I'll reserve judgement for now. The Meilenweit 6-ply is pretty.

The Monkey sock knits up quickly even though the Lisa Souza yarn is quite fine. It's an interesting pattern but not too hard to keep track of - I can see why it's becoming a favorite for so many sock knitters. The pattern calls for 5 dpn's so I'm using Magic Loop. I don't know why but I don't like having the stitches on 4 needles. I much prefer having them on 3. It just seems to fit my hands better. This sock is not easy to photograph. The white reflects the light and gets washed out. I took a lot of pictures in different light to get these two.

This Liza Souza yarn is lovely. Haven't seen something like this before. I like the pattern you've chosen too.

I think, too, that this yarn is beautiful! I like the blues and the way the dots are distributed and ti looks great with the monkey pattern! Keep going!

Hi Susan! I received my yarn present that I won in your drawing. That yarn is delicious! I can't thank you enough. I have never had such a high-quality, beautiful yarn. It is a work of art. I've always gotten my yarns at Michaels and JoAnn's. There is nothing wrong with those yarns, of course; and I love my little stash. I'm just saying that this is GORGEOUS, GLAMOROUS STUFF!!! I'm gonna place it into a clear vase on my bedside table and just admire it for a while!

Each one of my dogs (80# Joe Joe Cool - 15yo, 30# Little Guy 14yo, 135# Miss Bee Gee - 10yo, 55# Annie Girl - 11yo, 75# Sugar Boy -8yo and 9# Daisy Mae Bunnyfeet - 1-1/2yo, all former strays whom I found on the streets over the past 13 years) are already trying to talk me into making him or her a special blanket and to forget the other dogs. They're all a bunch of prima donnas!

I've informed them that this is not doggie-blanket yarn so they can just take their peepers (except for Annie Girl - who is congenitally blind) off my Lisa Souza yarn!

Thank you once again for your incredible generosity. I must be living right!!!
